4. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device, do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.

In the cookie, information is stored that arises in each case in connection with the specific end device used. This does not mean, however, that we gain direct knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves on the one hand to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.

In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your terminal device for a certain fixed period of time. If you visit our site again to use our services, it is automatically recognized that you have already been to our site and which entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you (see section 5). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already been to our site when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a notice always appears before a new cookie is created. However, the complete deactivation of cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.

5. Plug-Ins and tools

a) Google Fonts

This site uses so-called Google (Web) Fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This enables Google to know that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offer. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO.

If your browser does not support Google Fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

You can find more information about Google Fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/. Regarding an opt-out option, please refer to the following link: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

b) Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, USA. (“Google”). Google Analytics (https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/) is used to collect and store data for marketing and optimization purposes. From this data, usage profiles can be created under a pseudonym. Cookies can be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the cache of your browser when you visit our website. The cookies enable the recognition of the internet browser.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, the IP address of the visitor or registered user will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website and on the basis of a written contract on a contract processing agreement, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by the browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data by means of Google Analytics is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

You can revoke your consent at any time or delete cookies stored in your browser or set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. You can prevent the collection and further processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the plug-in at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

More detailed information on terms of use and data protection can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/ respectively.
